From Boston to Florida

If you know me, you know I have strong opinions about dining at airports. The rules are simple: time and money aren’t real, and you'd better find yourself a comfortable barstool you can linger on.

I travel frequently, which means I’ve spent—and still spend—a lot of time at Boston Logan International Airport. I’m also notorious for hating the dining options in Terminal A specifically. Now, don’t get me wrong: as far as airports go, BOS has a lot of options. I could easily spend the day in Terminal C and wouldn’t even complain that hard.

Terminal A, on the other hand, is a different story:

  1. I love Delta, but I hate that (IMO) it’s the least accessible terminal at BOS, and

  2. The food options are... less than stellar.

At least, they were.

Until Fox & Flight opened.

✈️ What It Is & Where to Find It

Fox & Flight is Logan Airport’s new Terminal A game‑changer.

  • You’ll find it post-security in Terminal A (Satellite Concourse).

  • It’s a partnership between travel retail giant Paradies Lagardère and James Beard Award winner Karen Akunowicz, the Boston-based chef behind Fox & the Knife.

  • It’s spacious (just under 3,000 sq ft) with seating for ~95–100 people, an open kitchen, a chic bar, and cheeky fox-themed artwork.

  • The hours run from early morning to late evening, so yes, you can absolutely start your day here or end it with a Negroni.

My fiancé, Eric, and I had some time to kill and I was hangry (a dangerous combo), so we decided to stop in before our flight.

The first thing I noticed was the vibe. I’ve been to a lot of airport bars, but this one felt different. I could almost pretend I wasn’t in an airport.

Chickpeas and Chopped Salad with Salmon

Simply no notes. The chickpeas were the star of the show. Halfway through eating them I made the extremely smart choice to add them to the salad, and they tasted even better with the salmon and white beans.

Brunch at First Watch – Lake Wales

If you’ve ever been to a First Watch, your first impression may have been the same as mine:

“Wait. This is a chain?!”

That’s what I love about First Watch. They’re a chain without feeling like a chain.

With 500 locations across the U.S., it’s shocking that they still feel individualized. I mean, Cracker Barrel has the Southern charm thing down to a science, but they all look the same. And there’s beauty in that. But there’s also beauty in a different kind of sameness.

I got the breakfast burrito, one of the specials that day. Let me tell you—this burrito was the size of my face. It was stuffed with potatoes, chorizo, scrambled eggs, and enough cheesy goodness to fill the Nile. The Elote Breakfast Burrito did not disappoint. I wanted to eat way more than I did, but if you know me, I love a sweet breakfast appetizer for the table.

So we split the lemon-blueberry cornbread, and oh. my. God. I will be thinking about that cornbread for the rest of my life. I will attempt to recreate it, but I’m pretty sure I won’t succeed.

Last, a good brunch isn’t complete without a Bloody Mary. And this one came with candied bacon.
